waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.1 inch high over the mid atlantic region will 
make its way off coast on tuesday. a 29.6 inch low in the vicinity
of the soo tuesday evening will deepen to 29.4 inches by the time
it reaches georgian bay wednesday morning. this system will push 
a strong cold front across the lake during the first half of 
wednesday. the storm system will weaken over the saint lawrence 
valley wednesday night...while a deep coastal storm will develop 
off new england. the strengthening 28.9 inch low will move to the 
canadian maritimes thursday and friday...as a 30.0 inch high will 
cross the ohio valley and upper great lakes.
